Fresh fish Friday morning on Bundoran main street near Simpsons supermarket. The van comes from a fish shop in Ballyshannon across the road from Rooney's butchers.
The Organic Centre - Rossinver (20 Mins)
Organic cafe, vegetable growing courses, shop and produce. Everything for anyone interested in growing and eating their own veg. Do remember that a key aspect of organic produce is that it is more expensive. If visiting with the three starving kids don't forget the Platinum card. link

Walks
Eagles Rock & Truscmor (0 mins from cottage)
Leave cottage, at the end of lane turn left and walk up the turf path. It will only take an hour to get right up into the mountain. Beautiful views over Glenade and Donegal Bay.
Aroo Mountain (10 mins)
The mountain facing the cottage. Just past church heading to Kinlough take a right turn off the main road at sign marked 'Aroo Trail'. Follow road round, park at community centre to begin walk up Aroo Mountain.
The Devils Chimney (20mins)
Head for Sligo and turn left off main road at sign marked 'Glencar Waterfall'. Nice short walk up to the waterfall.
Cycling
Mountain cycle around Tievebaun (0 mins form cottage)
Leave cottage and go down lane. Turn left as if heading for Eagles Rock walk. Carry on bearing right past the trail. After couple of Km keep left at t juntion. Kepp cycling and within 5 minutes youll have the most beautiful views of Tievebaun and Donegal Bay. You can make this a 3ominute cycle or keep going for hours along the Dartry mountains on a super quiet road.
Irish Mountain Bike Center (35 mins)
Located just past Sligo (coming from the cottage) in Collaney. Great single track MTB trails for everyone from beginer to expert.
Mullaghmore (20 mins)
Park up at Mullaghmore and head out the coast road. It loops back on itself eventually, offers fantastic views over Donegal Bay and the Mountbatten Estate.
Surfing
Bundoran (15 mins)
Bundoran has some of the best surfing in Ireland and so Europe. There are several surf schools in Bundoran and some offering other outdoor pursuits. I'd recommend everyone, of any age, try surfing at least once.
Golf
Bundoran (15 mins)
Lovely, compact links course for those that prefer a three hour round to a five hour round.
Murvagh (25mins)
One of the best golf courses in Ireland. Terrific.
Fishing
Drowes Salmon Fishery (10 mins)
Fish one of Irlenads finest salmon rivers. Just past the village of Kinough.
Fossil Hunting
The local stream (0 mins from cottage)
Leave cottage, at the end of lane turn left and walk down to the bridge. Our kids have spent hours hoking among the stones for fossils, the river bed is full of them. The water is crystal clear.

Eating, touring, buy some tweed at Magees.
Enniskillen (50 mins)
Eating & shopping (payment is in sterling).

Bundoran (15 mins)
Golfing, Surfing, good paved cliff top walk. The Donegal Adventure Centre in Bundoran is well worth contacting if you like lively outdoor activities such as kiaking.
Sliabh Liag Cliffs (1hr 20mins)
Highest sea cliffs in Europe. Worth the trip for walking enthusiasts. link
Yeats' Grave - Drumcliff (15 mins)
Visit the grave (and favourite place) or one of the worlds most famous poet W.B. Yeats.
Marble Arch Caves - Fermanagh (30 mins)
Underground geological experience. While there visit Florencecourt House a National Trust property with lovely gardens. link
